ASCL Brandeston 2, Bressingham 2

Honours even in our first group match of 2015.  Our hosts laid on plenty of tasty food and hot drinks.  Good weather too.  Diane and Mel came along to support.

Wins for Pat/Russ, Les/Russ (13-4).  Losses for Dave/Les, Dave/Pat.

Bloomers finish in style

Bloomers 3, The Hunters 0 (39-23)

A terrific way to finish the winter league season.  Darren (who supplied the scorecard) came back from a 10-2 deficit in the singles to defeat Paul Goodwin.  Good wins also (no pun intended) in the other two games.  Bloomers finish one point ahead of Oddballs (the division was pretty tight in the end).

Oddballs 3, The Hunters 0 (39-30)

Pat/Cyril/Jenny won 13-11, Pat/Jenny won 13-11, Cyril won 13-8

An excellent win against the division leaders, on a glorious sunny day.  I was unwell but stayed to watch the triples team pull back from 10-3 down to win 13-11.  I was very surprised when Pat emailed me the result.
A fine way to finish the season.

Triples was won but no other info available


Adnams Suffolk Coastal League Cup 1st Round (played Saturday).

Stowmarket Oddboules 4, Bressingham 0

Defeats were 13-8, the rest 13-5 apparently.  Team was Darren/Les/Mick/Liz although I heard a rumour that Darren did not play?

The Suffolk Coastal League (group stage) officially commences this Sunday.

7th March - ASCL Cup 1st Round - Stowmarket Oddboules v Bressingham (brought forward)

8th March - City of Norwich Winter League - Oddballs v The Hunters, The Hunted v Bloomers

22 March - City of Norwich Winter League - Bloomers v The Hunterss, Oddballs - no game.
